About Me:
It is always difficult to write about yourself. So I have asked my daughter to write my profile for me, as she is my strongest critic and supporter. It will cost me dinner, of course, and a day out at the shopping mall, but there you go. Isn’t that what dads are for?
My Dad:
My dad is a retired lecturer in Business and Communications Studies. He holds a degree in Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Sussex and is a member of the Institute for Learning in the UK.
As a lecturer, my dad has helped over 700 students to achieve their learning goals. A specialist in verbal and written communication, he still holds regular seminars for business professionals in Ukraine, where he currently lives.
The dad's interests include, but are not limited to, writing for the Internet, micro farming, self sufficiency, sustainable energy, walking and fishing.
An avid traveler, my dad has visited more than 32 countries, including Canada, the USA, most of Europe, former Eastern Bloc countries, the Middle East, North Africa, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Malaysia and Singapore. The cultural knowledge gleaned from his travels has enriched his ability to communicate effectively across a range of issues.
A wonderful story teller, my dad holds captive his many readers and listeners with stories from distant lands, some funny and some tragic, but all of them informative. I hope you enjoy reading his stuff as much as I do.
